Andrea Mesquita

Andrea Mesquita is the Founder and CEO of The Hartford Community Trust and The Hartford Parent Trust. She is a respected community leader, family advocate, lecturer, and trainer committed to strengthening families and creating lasting systemic change.

Throughout her career, Andrea has worked alongside families, nonprofit organizations, businesses, educational institutions, faith-based groups, policymakers, and community stakeholders to advance equity and improve outcomes for historically underserved communities.

Her work focuses on family stability, affordable housing, educational achievement, economic mobility, food security, workforce readiness, and parent leadership. Andrea has also helped advance the Two-Generation (2Gen) approach, a model that strengthens outcomes for both children and the adults who care for them.

A proud mother of three and member of her church’s Praises of Zion Choir, Andrea continues to champion community-driven solutions that help families overcome barriers and build stronger futures.
